Hey everyone…I shot a quick video of a few new Geode features that we have been working on. The Notes & Photos screen is mostly complete. We’ve also figured out where we are going to put the cache list filtering options, and now we’ve just got to hook them all up. I’d love to hear your feedback. Enjoy!
(P.S. Please excuse the audio and video quality…this was shot on a handheld point and shoot so conditions weren’t exactly optimal)

In a future update I would like to see the mapping function.

Looks great! I have been wondering why no one has mentioned the official Geocaching.com app since it has been released. While I feel it is the best app out currently, this app looks to take its place and I can not wait to try it out!

You know what would make this a tad more perfect than it already is?
The ability to add offsets either from GPS Location, or from Current Waypoint would be nice. Too many caches I saw needs you to stand at a certain spot, and move to a compass direction, several meters down. And there’s no tools that I bought on the iPhone that supports this.
Another one is a plain map feature, with a breadcrumb trail of where you’ve been, and where you should be heading, and where the waypoints (yours, and the cache) are. This can be more useful than the compass, and the fact that you’ve got no data coverage (roaming can cost too much you know), and you may get lost if you can’t retrace you steps.
There are others I have in mind, but I’ll leave it for later
Sometimes, I miss my Palm device for its utility.

It has been more than 2 weeks since your last “weekly” update. Meanwhile, the Geocaching app is out and those of us who have followed Geode are wondering if it will ever make it out. What’s the latest?

I have been following your site for months. No updates. No Product. I have got the geocashing product and it works great. Too bad you could not get you product to market, it looks good but I doubt it will ever arrive. Good Luck

Too slow to market and poor communication. You kept us dangling on a bit of string and you still haven’t delivered. Shame because the app looks good. I’ve got the Geocaching app now; I won’t be buying a second one.

Really excited seeing your product. But after 3+ months waiting on you and no product, no communications. I have given up on you. The Geocashing product is great. I just cant wait any longer I have moved on.

Weeks later and no update – if you agree to give weekly updates you have to deliver, sadly you have not. Like many others I thought your app looked great, almost too good to be true. I’ve purchased the official app now, and I’m not sure your’s will ever appear. I would love you to prove me wrogn though…

I’m assuming that you’ve given up on creating this app. Nice try — sorry it didn’t work out.

The app is still on hold until we have time to complete it and get it on the app store. It’s not dead, we just don’t have any spare time to dedicate to finishing it at the moment.
